What happened to Nextdoor? A few months ago it looked like it had a lot of engagement, mostly from older people. But it seems to be an ads and classified app now. 80% posts are businesses spamming the feed. #nextdoor

They started having neighborhood supervisors who tend to lean one way or other. So they would take down posts depending on how they feel that day. In a way its suppression of freedom. So a lot of people just stopped using the platform.
No wonder older people seemed to love that. Looks like they got disillusioned with that they liked.
