What happened to Quora?
Found the platform very useful during early days. Eventually, some idiotic policies lead to good writers leaving. Last few months, the platform is filled with garbage and sexist memes and at times, borderline porn. What's going on at #Quora?

I thought I have made my recommendations garbage by viewing some nonsense content, good to know it’s not me.
I thought so too. But I then tried hard to find some good content to read. No luck.

No geofencing user base caused quality of answers to go down drastically because of irrelevant answers.
Geofencing is a scourge and is antithetical to the multicultural, multilingual world we are trying to build.
You can feel self righteous about your mission while also recognizing that a knowledge sharing site, especially one that deals with more than just objective facts in STEM, will require heavy cultural context to understand the experiences of each answer. A goat farmers experience in the mountains of Switzerland will not apply to an industrial farm operator in the Midwest US. The purpose of Quora isn't to build a better society, it is linking questions with answers, in the most effective way to whoever is generating ad revenue. It's a travesty that the founders can't recognize that.

Used to be thoughtful well written answers. Now my feed looks like 9gag.
It's more fun to be a know it all on reddit than quora.
