What if Youtube charged content creators?

Say, Youtube starts charging content creators, with 1000+ subscribers, 100$/month. Would Youtube still sustain? Update: For people choosing "No": Isn't sponsored ad revenue still a big revenue for creators? Paying 100$ is still a small fraction of the possible sponsored ad revenue.
