I keep reading TC in multiple post. I know it's Total Compensation but is the sum of base+stock+sign on ? Or only the first year compensation? Eg: if base= 100k stock =40k(4yrs), sign on = 10k. Is my TC 150k? P.S: New grad here.
When you add it all up it’s TC. Unless your stock is from a non public company then it’s generally good practice not to count it, since it’s essentially imaginary money. Just got a good handle on this recently so it’s not just you who is confuse. People generally don’t like to admit that they don’t know stuff
It’s life
Thanks man
Your TC is 110 bro. Base+stock/4years
So it's per year, thanks
Isn’t the TC = 120k (100+10(first year stocks) + 10k
I personally don’t consider sign on in TC as it is one time bonus offered by the company
Count it with Amazon because first year sign on can be well over your base. Like if you’re $350k, odds are your base is $150 and year 1 bonus is $200.

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
TC is what you get each year. So your TC would be 120k the first year, and 110k for the following three years.
Got it, thanks :D
True if you do t get refreshers in the second year. Which is mostly always true if you are in Amazon. Otherwise in most other companies you will get similar to $40k second year spread over four years and then your second year TC will be $120, third year 130 and plagues at $140
