Thinking of applying to USAA because there is office nearby. What is the interview process like now? Do they ask leetcode type questions? Is the company pretty stable now? Just got laid off from GM after they closed down an entire office randomly. Close to 1000 workers lost there jobs. This is after they repeatedly told us this year no lay offs were planned. So looking for a more stable company. Also, is it true you all are going back to full RTO? I read somewhere you all are either going back to 4 days a week or full 5 times a week. Thanks if anyone from USAA has information.
I got in as SWE. I remember going through some code and basically explaining why it's wrong and how it could be improved. Also a lot of general and technical questions, nothing crazy.
For stability, not really. There are frequent layoffs and IT keeps getting affected.
3 days until eoy, then 4 days afterwards. For stability, it definitely depends on the role you’re in. Interview’s a joke, but I got in as an intern, so not sure. Have interviewed others and never asked leetcode questions, just asked about your projects and dove deep into them
Thank you for responding. Can I ask if the positions you were interviewing others for at USAA were for SWE roles and not intern roles? I am probably applying for software developer roles that are entry or mid level.
