I'm trying to get into Amazon as a Sr. Manager. I have 20 years of experience in mgmt at smaller companies. I've always continued developing, on the side as a contractor, so I am pretty technical. I'm wondering what the interview process is like interviewing for a LVL 7 or possibly a 6. I've reached out to Amazon Recruiters on LinkedIn but they haven't responded so far. My responsibilities over the years has been leading web development, client/server development and qa teams. Coding wise I am pretty fluent in most desktop and web languages since I've coded in about 20 over the years. SQL experience is 25+ years on SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc. I want to be prepared when one of the recruiters does finally review my LinkedIn profile/resume.
You will mess up your chances of getting interviewed as a manager if you keep harping about your IC abilities !!
I would think saying I'm technical and not just a typical manager but instead I'm a technical manager would be a good thing. If its not, then I can adjust. Just need to know what it is they are looking for.

Can you leetcode and system design and not to forget breath lp
I've not tried any of the leetcode problems. If its relevant I can try them. I've designed and coded many apps. Designed and built, as a lead systems design, an ERP system, for a company. Lead teams that developed an application that is used by Fortune 500 companies so I do think I know something and not just a "manager". I will try leetcode if its relevant though.
Managers at small companies not likely get L7. You most likely can get only L6
If that is what it is, I guess that is what the Level Up part of the interview is for isn't it?
