If you make stupid posts like why you should write a thank you note after an interview youre not getting paid. You increase your presence but as a manager would you want to bring a self aggrandizer onto your team. Is there benefit in knowing someone who makes annoying linkedin posts. Im not seeing the point of being the most punchable voice on linkedin
None. The more time you spend on LinkedIn, the less time you have for your actual work. Keep in mind that the only constant is that we only have 24 hours a day.
Fucking snake oil salesmen. People who arenโt doing the deal with the code, designs, <whatever the hell project managers do>, will make up for it with their influence. Unless you work in marketing in which case this influence shit is your bread and butter.

If the influencer is talking about some hard skills which will be needed in the real job as well and also the role will be customer facing, then may be may be they will be useful for the role I may be hiring for. For example, Developer advocate role . It definitely increases their visibility. Note: I am not a influencer and also don't prefer to follow any of these people.
Some people just love the attention
They often have something to sell (course, book, etc.). A guy I knew in college does this.
Maybe it is their side hustle. I saw some people sell courses after blogging for a bit
