What is the monthly cost of one kid?

I know parents like to say you shouldn’t look at it from a financial standpoint because it’s an indescribable feeling. But I also get indescribable feelings from: - netflix $20 a month - going on a date and getting lucky $0-$50 a date - call of duty xbox live costs $10 a month - eating out couple times a week $70 - gym membership $25 a month

Daycare in hcol will be 2k+ for 5-6 years. Depending on the type of parent you are (want to give kids the best opportunity), after daycare will cost the same for different classes, after school programs, vacation/fun events and future savings to give them a kickstart in life So 3k+ for the best You can make it sub 500 if u use grandparents to babysit and cheap out on everything, but kids not gonna have the best possible opportunities to grow

Depends, if you get them into child acting, they'll actually be a net income.

Typical Amazon take monetizing a kid from age zero 😂 Do you PIP them too if they don’t perform well as an actor?

Yes, make sure your kid does their forte and knows their leadership principles, 😆

Three THOUSAND per month??!!! You people are insane. How is this true at all.

Probably $3000 / month to give the kid decent opportunities. If you can’t give them decent life why have them at all? Basketball classes, acting lessons, guitar lessons, etc. aren’t cheap. Day care in MCOL is $1500 a month too.

You’re forgetting the butlers, chauffeurs and private chefs in your calculation too.

It can be dirt cheap, but it can also be sky high expensive. Depends on what you spend on the kid.

Your life.

It’ll take about 300k to raise one child. Higher if you have fancier lifestyle. For instance, you can buy clothes from Target or from Vineyard Vines.

Varies by age and life choices . Babies and toddlers are expensive . Preschool in the US is not free so either you are going nanny route or preschool route both of which are ~2500+ per month . And if you send them to classes like Tae kwon or music that’s additional. When they join kindergarten you can choose to send to public school but if you go private school route you are shelling 3000 or so every month . And you still need to spend on classes or before/after school care . Health insurance and such aside you are easily looking at 3000 usd+ . Economies of scale works for the next kid when it comes to shared childcare but not school fees and such

Depends on if you’re pricing day care into it.

Kids under 6 need childcare and are constantly outgrowing everything (clothes, diets, tools, toys, etc) 2k-3k for childcare (9am-5pm) 200-400 for additional weekend /after hours childcare (date nights, down time, etc. 100 for diapers 100 for food. Monthly amortized expenses: 100 for clothes (kids grow fast and need a new wardrobe almost every season, even used are expensive) 50 for equipment (car seats, high chairs, chairs, bigger car seats, cribs, then a bed, travel cots, eating utensils, bottles, potty / toilet steps). 50 - 100 for entertainment: toys, zoo tickets, educational tools, etc.
