Currently working in Big tech. What is the work culture of JPMorgan chase at the Palo alto office? Offered as VP (603), TC 400 K, is it worth it? What is VP level, manager, IC, is everyone a VP? Will there be growth? #jpmorgan #jpmorganchase #software #softwareengineersalary
They claim they are starting a new division for new tech products and exploration. They claim everyone is VP from a senior engineer. to the Group Engineer manager. It is all internal roles.
VP is roughly IC4/5 at Meta/Google, for most major banks
VP is just a senior engineer. Don’t do it.
What is your yoe and TC breakdown?Everyone is VP here. Growth depends on your Manager and MD.
VP is a senior dev/team lead/manager. Definitely ask the interviewer which it is, because they all get the same title. No idea about the Palo Alto office though. Plus, it’s technically 5 mini companies in one, and they’re essentially in all offices. So. which “line of business” are you applying for? Investment parts make more but are higher pressure, IT department (CTC) and “misc” (GT) would be less stressful but lower budget overall.
Could be both manager/IC, but you should know from your interview. Same about growth, there are still levels above that VP, but depends on the group.
Are you sure it’s 400k? Is it in investment banking? If they pay bump is considerable, then why not. You might get a role with great WLB.
I have no idea that chase pay vp this much, unheard of
this is a fake post ! Nobody pays 400k for VP level in chase. only ED or MD can make 400k
I’ve heard pay range between VP and ED had considerable overlap. It’d be near top end of VP’s pay scale though.
which LOB?
didn’t know they had salaries like that, what’s your yoe?
