What keeps you working for your current employer (MS, Amazon, LinkedIn, etc.) when Google or Facebook are paying way more? Put it another way, assuming that Amazon, Google or FB paying more than MS, why MS guys are still there? No trolling, please. Really curious.
Because we suck ass at leetcode or atleast I do.
Is that why Telsa keeps killing people? Ship fast, break fast? Like missing edge cases?
Don’t worry I am with you @Leetcoder
1) Working on stuff that moves the real world 2) Cool, fun people 3) TC 4) Perks
And ladies
Tech company... so not really );
none of the above...I just like how badass old-school the brand is
Also, I'd imagine "the products are cool" has some contribution. Always wanted to work at a gaming company
A culture of brainwashing kids and adults to waste their lives in a virtual world? Great culture indeed. I’m looking forward to the day that companies like Blizzard are scrutinized like tobacco companies were in the 1980s for putting millions of lives at risk through their addictive and harmful games.
Easy life
I turned down money from Some Company to get more autonomy and to work on a cool product. Got a very spooky and tumultuous roller coaster in exchange for all my trouble. But at least Los Angeles is pretty damn awesome.
With Snapchat, I am not sure why people are still there given their troubles with product and finances. Probably they are waiting until their 1M stock grants would vest, then I understand. Otherwise, I don’t see a reason.
There’s also too much kool aid internally I would guess.
For the longest time, greencard, but not anymore!
THIS. Consider yourself blessed if you don’t understand how big a factor this is.
I thought LI's pay was up there with fb goog?
The one person I know who moved F to LI got a pretty big pay bump. F underlevels people.
Awesome colleagues, supremely interesting work, ongoing challenges, chances to grow and do more. Interviewed with Facebook and was shocked at how small-minded and ordinary they were.
:) did you get an offer from FB? If so, what happened next?
Told them that I wasn’t interested. Can’t imagine ever working there, their view of design is simultaneously narrow and elitist.
I'd like to go with whoever gives the highest TC assuming the following conditions: (1) I am able to pass the interview (2) Requires <80 hours/week on the work
