I guess I am a mid grade programer have around 6 years of experience. Because i working in a small company so all the programmer in there need to know how to take care every single product from asp net sql server react node js. And i think I learn enough and time to boost my salary . Now I only getting 100k , I wondering what salary I should chase ? I know i am not good enough to work on Amazon , google etc . So should I try or just focus on mid size company ? Any suggestions? I am in Los Angeles country and have CS degree UC .
Why would you say you aren’t good enough to work at Amazon, Google, or some other FAANG/tier-1-paying employer? Just takes practice. If you want to target Amazon (who, to be honest, really isn’t hard to get into—especially because they’re recruiting so aggressively right now), then set that goal and start working towards it. If you would prefer to stick to mid size that’s a different story. Think about what _you_ want. FWIW I’m a nobody from a no-name school without specialized experience, and I’m bad at LC to boot. I was still able to get through some of the most difficult interview loops from top-TC-employer lists you find on Blind.
What study material you guys suggest? I will put all my energy on and give it a shot ! Thanks for your advices
Hit up the “New Year New Gift - Top 75 Leetcode Questions” on Blind as you get a feel for the patterns in various questions, and then just grind LC in the areas you’re weak in. Then interview a bunch and don’t get too attached to any one company—it’s a numbers game. You’ll get there!
99.999% of the time someone says they're a medium quality dev, it means they're a great dev. It's not easy to see yourself as great when you constantly look up others, but looking up at others is a sign that you're a great dev

Lol throw away that “I am not good enough to work at Amazon” mentality. Just grind some leetcode and look up the interview questions and u would have a decent shot.
