What non tech salaries do you know ?
Most in tech hang out with tech folks so have no idea about salaries outside tech. So the reason to share is so everyone gets right perspective. Only share salaries that you have direct knowledge of. Costco manager - 25$ per hour in Bay Area (Livermore) Real estate coordinator - 45k per annum (San Mateo)
Don't people in tech have families? Why wouldn't they know about others salaries?
Looking at other threads that talk about wfh, seems that the majority of tech people are hikikomoris that never go outside their cave (or that have family that is also on tech)
They are usually immigrants who are not very close to locals to know
Defense salaries are pretty transparent.
