What offer would you take?

Can people explain why pick google? It seems a step back in my career by a downlevel and I can make as much money at fb by waiting a year for my refresher. (At this point the comp diff is small)

Why they are all so low? What is the position and yoe?

I thought google gave 15 percent as minimum bonus. This offer is fake news

Stay at FB, and continue to look. Tcs for those two are pretty bad imo relative to where you are at. I would reject goog based on tc. And unless wlb is significantly better in goog then I would consider. Or if you are unhappy at fb then by all means take a chance at goog. Agreed with your Uber assessment. They are overhyped, overvalued and they are continually losing money. That tc could be a lot lower in the end.

That's top of the range L4 at Uber, most likely since you did good on the interview and Uber values FB people. Don't join Google at L3, a friend there told me they don't differentiate between new grad L3 and L3 with some experience. You can work hard and rise to L5 in 4-5 years, I guess. If you still like your FB team, I'd say stay for another year, get a promo and then look outside. Were these the only companies you interviewed for?

Stay at FB. The choice is clear. Blind has an obsession with Google for some reason. Don't downlevel -- you will hurt your tc in the long run.

You need Uber stock to be around $30 to make even on FB. Google is just lowballing. Do you want to buy Uber stock at $30? Softbank does.

Wow 240k L3 offer is amazing! You have everything there. With 20% time you can grow as fast as you want. I have a friend who got to L5 at FB in 2 years but can't get senior at msft. Different companies have different leveling policies. Only the money makes any difference. I've heard of directors at HBO leading 50 people getting L4 at Google but happily accepting because of the money.

It really depends on what you want to do, the work at all of these companies are very different. If you feel you still need solid skills, google and fb is much better than uber. If you want ownership of a problem, uber > fb > google. Diffs in TC doesn’t matter, go where you can learn and excel.
