Hi Blind! Im currently a TSE for an autonomy company (TC 70K, YOE 3) & I feel underpaid for the level of work that I do. Ive been looking around for similar roles but they're either bad TC or are looking for 5+ YOE. Am I looking for the wrong titled role? Is there something similar that is more viable? I was my resume was recently denied at MS for not having enough experience which sucked. For context some skills include Linux, Ubuntu server, Docker, Ngnix, SQL, Vmware, AWS, Azure, Git, ADFS, Kubernetes, Bash/Shell, Atlassian, and Service now, to name a few. Any advice is appreciated thank you! #swe #engineering #advice #career #careeradvice #tech #FAANG #microsoft #apple #google #amazon #meta #paypal #redhat #twitter # #engineering #software #swe #atlassian #auth0 #box #cruise #datadog #databricks #intel #linkedin #referral #ideas #help
Just make sure you don't tell the recruiters what you're current salary is. Ask them what the position range is or give them a high number. Dig into the job description and required skills but keep in mind the description is generally 50% bs.
Thank you! I appreciate it, also my resume got rejected at VMware too when I fit their description perfectly 😅
