What salary should I target for next startup job?
3 YOE, but with experience and competence of average person’s 8YOE. Current salary: $138k. Before that, $115k. Job A: 20 person “lifestyle startup” acquired by mid tier tech co. Salary: $110k as 1099 -> $115k as W-2. Has title at mid tier tech co of Software Development Engineer III (on cusp of senior). Job B (current): fintech startup, currently failing. Hired at $130k, given raise to $138k. Title: Software Engineer. Job C: this is what I’m looking for. How much salary boost should I go for? Looking only for startups, like fintech startups.
