My son is a great student but not exceptional. What colleges offer hefty scholarships for a cheap education?
A scholarship is usually merit based…academic, sports, etc. With that said, there are also scholarships not associated with a particular school that have few applications so your kid should apply to as many scholarships as possible to up his chances.
There are also needs scholarships, but it depends on your finances. Example of a non-school scholarship: I received a scholarship from a local Kiwanis chapter. We didn’t know anyone in that chapter, but I applied and received $. Most of my scholarships were from non-school affiliated organizations.
why not just go to state school then?
Tons of scholarships available regardless of school. You can apply to a bunch through the Scholly app
Just go to one of your local state schools or state with repricocity.
