It seems most of the commercial success of Indian tech startups is limited in scope to India for the most part. On the flip side, you look at US companies that were startups (e.g., Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Apple, Intel, etc.) or Chinese companies (e.g., TikTok, Tencent, Alibaba, etc.), their influence transcended country borders. Are there any examples for India? I couldn't think of any off the top of my head. I feel this is necessary to become an impressive tech hub. If there are no such examples, it just seems India is a tech labor hub.
Postman?
Postman isn't as big as the ones that I mentioned, but I guess it's something.
zoho
The protectionist policies of China helped them build true global tech companies like tiktok. If the Indian govt starts blocking of Amazon/G/FB and others, pretty sure india would generate a few mega tech companies.
Americans hugely favoured China and China copied or reverse engineered American tech. Ironically, China is now America's biggest headache.
That sounds like an excuse. There are other countries who didn't have protectionist policies and have generated some great products with a lot of influence. Take for example Skype or Bolt created in Estonia.
Do Tencent and Alibaba have significant market share outside China?
