Need a new job
What’s your reason for not getting it?
Many reasons. I have already been infected so I have antibodies. My age group has a 99.9% survival rate for this disease. The vaccine does not prevent getting covid or the spread of covid. There are financial incentives for big pharmaceutical companies involved. The largest criminal lawsuit against any company in American history was against Pfizer (look it up). There have already been 2 major side effects that were not listed until AFTER the mandate, one of which my mother has been a victim of (neurological effects/ uncontrollable spasms). I have all of my other vaccines, I am not anti vax. I am anti this vaccine that is being enforced authoritatively while under researched
Is your strategy always to tldr your way out of every argument?
Get vaccinated you potato
Congratulations on taking part in the herd mentality. Also for taking the bait the media gives you to make you angry and do the bullying on their behalf
Don’t know of many companies that are allowing. Wanted to leave a positive message of support for you
Thank you very much
FWIW, I got a heart issue following my J&J vax. I support people deciding for themselves.
I’m so sorry for your heart issue. There are many stories like yours including my own mother that aren’t very publicized. Thank you for your comment hope it brings awareness
@Visa thanks. I believe it’s severely under publicized and sometimes when I mention it people are very skeptical or don’t believe me. But the heart issues are why countries like Sweden and Finland banned the vaccine for people under 30. If you’ve experienced any of these symptoms: chest pain, shortness of breath, fast heart rate, skipped beats, fainting (I have all of these), PLEASE go see a doctor / cardiologist ASAP before more damage is done.
Getting a vaccine should be a personal choice, between you and your doctor. I’m in the same boat, getting laid off December 8th, looking for a new job. My thoughts are that this mandate only applies to federal contractors and companies over 100 employees.
Regular testing was also an option. Companies requiring it want to require it. And companies less than 100 still have the ability to require it as well
Agree with all your points, though I’m at Visa (way over 100) and still think it shouldn’t be mandated. I think there should be flexibility / remote option for people who are not vaccinated rather than just firing us
we will see what happens once the firings start in mass. Those that made the mandate will face political consequences
So true. When they’re working endless hours covering for their colleagues who were let go for months while their HR tries to backfill the massive openings not sure they will feel the same. Not to mention the financial losses of the company/ potential layoffs and loss of profit for any stock options they have
I have some friends and family that are facing layoffs as early as next Monday (11/1)
What is your role / YOE ? Facebook is hiring remote for SWE's. Vaccines are mandated for office access only.
Product manager
First PM role. 1 year
meta if you are remote
Thank you, what is that? I would love to be remote

You could also be a positive member of society and work towards the "return to normal". That would open many doors. Cheers!
I am being a positive member of society by pushing back on an authoritative, divisive, violating policy that’s putting people’s livelihoods at risk, all for a vaccine that doesn’t protect or prevent the spread of a disease with a 99% survival rate for my age group, not to mention I have antibodies 👌
this argument is only valid if your age group is the only one that matters. society needs all age groups!
