In most industry internships provide real skills and learning opportunities to future workers. Interns learn something and grow. SW industry seems to have this completely wrong, at least in FAANG. Interns barely learn anything. Mentors are forced into mentorship to click check box for promo. Managers don’t give a fuck until offer time so that they can hire someone to fire to meet their pip targets. Company interested in PR stunt only. Tax: 600 #tech
