This is calculable. Too lazy at the moment but definitely not kill some fish.
Would lose momentum once hit water like bullet. Assume baseball is indestructible, vs density if water and friction etc. It would go hella far but not sure if letal
I’m on mobile and a little buzzed, but I’d love to calc this. You’d be looking at the mass and energy carried by the ball, and treating it as an explosive, since it would effectively vaporize upon impact. Hunch is that it would be regionally destructive but not world-ending. But I haven’t done the math obv.
Same as this: https://what-if.xkcd.com/20/
That was very interesting!
Pond skipping.
It would never happen. The heat generated from air friction would be hot enough to burn the baseball in no time. So no, nothing’d happen. You probably see a flash and that’s it
Nope, read this https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/
It’ll deflower the Mariana Trench.
xkcd covered this. https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/ Basically, the relativistic baseball sets off nuclear fusion. You can imagine what happens.
Lots of free time at Zymergen I see?
I certainly hope you're not coding this late
