As title says, what would you do with a GC that you haven’t been able to otherwise? TC: 200k 3.5 YOE Just got my GC last week and my goal is to utilize it properly
Shove it under the pillow, forget and 😴
🛏🥱
Enjoy life
Having a green card is not a big deal, not having one is
I agree. Hope you get it soon too if you’re waiting.
Buy two houses. One in a prime urban location and the other in the mountains. Live off the rent of the former. Start farming / fishing and chill out. Idk 😆
Realtors love these 5 tricks. You won’t believe #1
Pay US taxes for the rest of your life…
Well, that’s the plan. The govt is still going to spend it poorly. 🥲
Bring my parents here forever
Don’t you need to be a citizen to sponsor your parents? Can GC holders sponsor too?
Just learnt >>Green Card holders (permanent residents) may not petition to bring parents to live permanently in the United States. Why the fuck am I here?
Travel gets a little easier (no visas needed for Canada, Mexico, Caribbean). Also enerally easier to get visa for Europe etc with a GC.
Start a business
One thing you can do is start a side hustle. I’ve always wanted to start a restaurant, or at least accept orders for homemade food. But can’t due to my visa
Congrats, there is no a secret way of “utilizing” a GC lol. Be happy and enjoy your life. Try to travel as much as you can because I bet you couldn’t for a long time
Yep I’ll travel quite a lot once the covid dust settles.
You can run a side business that become your full time business. The green card allows you to envision a life in the US without being tied to Corp.
