Thinking of applying for a job at Nike: I've heard a lot of great things for the most part and I was wondering what you guys all thought? @Nike
Some bullying culture type problems, It's definitely different from a lot of other tech companies, given that we are also a sports apparel company -- it draws in a lot of fit people. A lot of people are very passionate about the work. You'd have to work at Beaverton though.
I've heard good things about Nike! It seems like Nike has a good teamwork culture and they don't blame individuals for their mistakes, fix issues together. Also, they have very interesting metrics team structure so you get to work on fun projects!
One complains my friend had was the pay. Nordstrom seems to have a good pay so not sure how much raise you can get from the move.
I would totally take the job if I get an offer from Nike!
It is great if you have no other options
Can anyone share any detailed offers (w/ location) that they received from Nike?
Heard it’s heavily matrixed... too many roles overlapping and folks empire building while others struggle to get resourcing. True?
I worked there for years. I enjoyed the matrix and exposure to various functions. Loved the fitness-centric culture and multiple gyms on campus, but unfortunately there is a lot of bullying and predatory leadership that isn’t held accountable. The pay is average but opportunities can be plentiful if you’re a go-getter that’s able to make a lot of allies. Worth applying but keep eyes wide open
I love it personally! I like the fitness culture and the passion that people have for our brand.
Everyone loves working here and there is a lot of passion. I personally love Nike and have been in love with the brand for a while. Also there are a lot of fit people.
