Do they just drive Uber/Lyft for income? Or is it just their side hustle? Too afraid to ask one personally, don’t want to end up in the bottom of the bay if they are up to some shady stuff. TC: 195k YOE: 3

20$ an hour if you’re a good driver
I ubered all through college in a gas vehicle, after expenses it’s about $20 an hour maybe less considering wear and tear, Portland Oregon numbers
Wait… it’s $20/hour _before_ considering wear and tear?
I do it as a side gig Friday nights and sometimes Saturday nights for about 1.5-2 hours each days. Average is like $40-50 an hour (with tips)
Likely side gigs or they’re retired and are chillin. Its easy money. I actually think in general a lot of drivers do it as a side thing. Its easy money, hence that whole drama with the CA proposition that would require all drivers to be counted as full time. If they were counted as full time, they wouldn’t have the freedom to drive whenever they wanted. Some just wanna do it for the hell of it, not really make it full time. The law would have changed that. But obviously there is that camp of those who actually make it full time.

I want to know this as well. Better tips?
