Was talking to a recruiter the other day about a principal Product manager position - he mentioned that the RSU grant is only $15k over 4 years. T-mobile people - is this for real? Can you negotiate the RSU’s?
Pink tax
15k per year. Lol, it hasn't changed in 4 years despite all the inflation. Well, Tmo is an old skool Telecom company under a Tech facade. In such companies RSU honey is reserved for the C suite and shareholders.
15 over 4 years! Is that ridiculous or what?
No but it is 15k per year. Then they allow you to buy an additional 15k worth at a small discount.
Starbucks data science has a similar system. It's for real and just means they don't pay as well as other companies.
You're lucky at IBM if you get any stock at all. $15K of stock as a special performance reward is not unheard of... and HR thinks that those 🥜 are a generous gesture. 🤣
Join T-Mobile to slack off and retire in peace or join a tech company for RSU. You are better off investing in meme coins than expecting T-Mobile RSU to generate value.
You sound like an idiot... Better off investing in meme coins, lol, whatever. And I can tell you from experience you aren't joining TMobile to slack off, you join to work way harder than you should for lower than average pay that senior leaders want you to think is on par with tech pay.
FFSTMO, painfully spot on. Fml
That’s per year
Once you get to director+ you are likely pulling in $130k+ in RSU per year at TMO. Before that though, it isn't worth it.
60K for 4 years...
15k per year which vests 33% every year.
