At a previous company my coworkers used to set each other on fire. Nothing was ever done about it.

Numerous accusations against a leader for being sexist. No disciplinary action taken at all because it's hard to have concrete evidence. Most people that have brought it up have been managed out of the organization. At the very least they've been given lengthy amounts of time to find a new team.

Co-worker turned me down for a date. HR refused to help.

I heard that this was said at a Facebook companywide all-hands meeting by Sheryl Sandberg, too.
I was asked to take pip or leave . I was given a award a week before and was given meets both years. There were no prior discussions. The manager was new and wanted to build his own team as he was not showing results. HR will do what is good for the company. If your immediate manager sucks no one will help you.
HR don’t care about you. As long as you don’t sue the company, they’re ok with it.
