I have Spectrum cable Ethernet in well-developed neighborhood. The only other option is copper connection from bankrupt company and discrete unstable LTE at home. Last time when Spectrum had an outage and 12 hour repair services, I delayed feature for my team, communicated but felt a lot of pressure. There are more business implications besides my job. I want to avoid that unnecessary shit in future and ready to pay for 2nd Ethernet provider. Startlink cost has the following components: 1) hardware $499 2) monthly service $99 3) shipping $50 4) taxes Q1: Assuming I manage my own legal entity which business model requires Ethernet connection 24/7, what exactly I can deduct from taxes? Sure thing you can say Capital Expenses, ask CPA but please rather share your relevant experience. Q2: How much time did it take to setup first connection since order submission for you? Q3: What’s your take? TC: 220k(all cash)
This post has lots to unwrap. Q1: ask your CPA Q2: following this post to see answers Q3: see Q1 and Q2
Do you live in a single family house with a yard/roof with no obstruction in a cone of 70 degrees in elevation (trees, other roofs, buildings etc.)? If not, you cant have 24hr internet. Other thing is if you use apps like Teams, or video chat etc. its going to be sub optimal.
It’s a one-story building with no major obstacles, satellite should be perfect. Not sure what do you mean by sub-optimal bandwidth for video.
not bandwidth, Im talking about things that require low latency, like video chat or gaming etc.
I was reading this earlier in the week... If you haven't seen yet I thought it was a decent perspective on the service at its current state. https://www.theverge.com/22435030/starlink-satellite-internet-spacex-review
