When does google start processing green card for new hires who have H1?
I H1 visa. I have an offer from google.woyld like to know when does green card process stadt usually for new hires? My recruiter dud not give me any clear answer to that.
Yes, you can send email to immigration@ and cc your manager on day1 and they will start GC process right away.
But need to wait for months for a message from the attorney.
@kwueu I’ve seen 10 people on my larger team all apply for GC and they were all responded to within 5 business days from the attorney...
i waited for at least two months. The, attorney spent two weeks to copy paste job description I gave him, with three errors. I pointed them out. They spent another two weeks, three rounds to fix them one by one, then changed the first one back. I would rather hire one by, myself if I had choice
Google, Facebook, Netflix: On day zero. Not sure about others. Cisco has a 90 days grace period, but you can negotiate that.
There is no Day 0, Day1 :) at Day0 you wouldn’t have completed I-9 verification. Anyway, amazon changed policy and started sponsoring GC on day1 even for SDE-I, used to be 6 months and minimum SDE-II; exceptions needed VP approval

It starts immediately. You need to talk to your manager about this. This is true for SWE, but I am assuming should be the case for other roles as well.
