BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
I recently had a technical interview with Facebook for Enterprise Engineer. The question was a good one. Not easy but not too complex. I got stuck at one point and within 10 sec, the interviewer is like, what if you did this.... At that moment, I knew I was not gonna get past this. Because I knew what she would write in her report: not quick enough, needed too much push etc etc. How do you prepare for such situations? Or how do you overcome once this happens?
Giving hints does not mean a rejection , It may effect confidece level in hiring!! One of the responsibilty of interviewer is to unblock you and understand your capabilities rather than letting you struggle.
All my FB interviewers have been terrible at that lol
I believe that I should have gone through if that was the case. Maybe i did some other things wrong. Probably just wasnt good enough.
That role is such shit anyway. If she was a tall skinny Asian woman, she was the most worthless individual in that team. I know who that is.
It was in Austin and the woman was Indian. She was super nice.
Oh wow. They've grownb that role then.
If you are stuck and not making progress what do you expect an interviewer to do. In my opinion not enough candidates talk about what they are thinking and have a conversation with the interviewer and will stand there in silence while they panic. Talk about what you are thinking. Debate options and try to glean as much info from your interviewer as possible.
I was. I just wanted to take 1 min to think to myself. I mean thats fair, right?
Think if they help you a little definitely doesn't count you out, but it would limit your negoshation options for salary. It's has alot of potential hire vs his a super star must hire
What was the question?
I felt like a couple of my interviewers helped me too much but they seemed happy with the result. Is that good? Bad?
If they were going to totally write you off, they wouldn’t give a hint so fast. Just use the hint to get to the optimal solution if possible and worry what she’s going to write later.
I got the optimal solution in the end. I also got rejected. Maybe it was something else. Maybe it wasn't. Wish I could know. It would have helped me so much!
Maybe she had a crush on you? Ask her out son!
