If person X has 3years left on h1b and is joining Apple as an entry level quality engineer. How soon will Apple start their i140 process after h1 transfer? Apple recruiter said it's impossible to provide a concrete timeline during offer negotiation. Person X is lesser than a year away from getting i140 at current company. Blind tax: TC 130K #workvisa #h1b #i140 #apple
Person X shouldn't consider switching jobs seriously. They should suck it up like the rest of us. Person X can interview for fun
Who hurt you? 🙁
"Person X" why waste the effort. Just say "I". Even if it's not you it's faster that way lmao
Advice taken!
U should stay back and get ur I-140 as it gives u a certain assurity for the future.. and as much as I have heard Apple takes time in doin these
Getting the same feeling. They are not ready to provide any sort of timeline about starting with the process.
It depends on whether your PD is current
Nope, it is not. Still 12-13 months to go to get an approved i140 and priority date.
Fair but what’s your chargeability? Where were you born?
Person X should consult Lawyer Y instead of asking Friend Z to post on blind.
We know the technicalities of the process. A lawyer won't know how soon or late Apple starts the process for a new hire. Someone who has experienced or seen it will know better.
