I started with a salary of 55k as a software developer in 2006. It took me almost 16 years to get to where I am. Its just mesmerizing to see how tech companies pay their employees these days and how a women went from being broke to making 4mn in just under 3 years using onlyfans. Whats the value of money these days? Gone are those days where money equals hard work. Whats even respectable? Is this sustainable? I dont work for LTI. TC 610k.
What do u do to make $610k
I have a road constructiin business and employee more than 10.
How did you go from SWE/tech -> construction?
You’re comparing the top 1-5% of each respective industry globally.
Lol you complain others getting to a high comp, quicker than you as a validation their journey was less valiant? Go suck on a stick
Your compression skills can suck on a stick.
Wtf is “compression” ?
Onlyfans is more hard work than SWE at Google

The high salaries are driven by either profits or risk appetite of investors. While many companies will continue to be profitable, I don’t know if unprofitable startups will get that kind of run that they did before. There are startups that had sky high valuations without showing a dollar of profit for 10+ years. That may not be sustainable anymore. If they don’t have a viable business model after 5-6 years of existence, investors may pressure them to get acquired instead of going IPO.
Why hate on OF creators for getting their bag wtf

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
How much was a home worth then and now ? Compare cost of living and also demand and supply. This post is useless. Ok Boomer !!!
Its still rediculous when compared to the rest of America. Tech industry is not america
Honest answer from someone in the Midwest. 2006 SWE salary right out of college was 28k, my house was worth 180k. In 2008 the price dropped to 120k (when I bought) and my salary was 44k (2yoe). Now my salary is 230k and my house is worth 350k. Midwest LCOL is wild like that.
