After getting FAANG, it’s kind of hard to find the next thing to go for. I know this is probably fairly complicated, but from a purely TC perspective, what do you aim for next? Prop trading firms? Startups? TC: 160k
I went to Roku
Aim for FIRE.
Haven’t seen that acronym used before. What does that stand for? Or are you memeing?
Financial Independence to Retire Early
Another FANG
Unicorn startups are usually a solid choice

Since F recently has lots of negative news so I won’t list it here but the difference between G and Amazon could be as much as Fang and some non-fang.
Interesting. I know they pay more than Amazon based on levels.fyi, but I didn’t think it was that huge.
i think fb guy was referring to a combination of wlb, pay and respect outside of the company. Amzn is not considered a prestige company to work for
Prop trading companies. Make a lot as a trader, you’ll have 8 figure Upside
I'm not sure about FANG. But anywhere is better than Amazon.

Why does leetcode get so much hate?
Yes aim startups but at higher level like principal or manager . No more IC . Ask base + bonus ~ 250-300k and 500 k rsu . Work your ass if for 5 years and pray
This makes sense. Maybe grind at FAANG to senior and then try to make a jump to principal/manager? From what I can tell getting promoted as an IC past senior at most places is pretty difficult, even for really good engineers.
I think it’s kind of hard to become a first time manager at that point even if you’re from FANG but not impossible
