I've been in the tech/consulting industry for about two years now, and am seeking guidance for career growth. I originally came from a military intelligence background so am still new to the civilian world. I work at/was hired at a splunk partner company to be a PS consultant. They paid for all of my training and I have all of the top certifications. Am TS/SCI cleared from my military background and primarily work government clients. Technical-wise I feel really comfortable at this point when it comes to splunk as a whole, but am unsure where to go from here in terms of career. I also realize that I'm not as well compensated as I could be. Although I did receive a 20K raise at the end of last year as part of my performance review. For people who do tech consulting, what did you switch to, or did you switch roles entirely? TC 120K
Either work for splunk directly or consult yourself out to one or more customers (you can start by sub contracting until you build/find clients)
Are you a consultant yourself? It seems like if I jumped to splunk directly it'd be a big pay bump
