My younger brother(22yo) is looking for a place to live in SF. He’s not interested in socializing, and he just wants to live within a 30min commute, with less homeless ppl lurking around. He’ll be working at Dropbox soon which is located in the Mission Bay. He’s looking for a studio to live alone, but it’s hard to find places under $2,400 nearby his workplace. So I was going to recommend Duboce Triangle. Is that a safe place to live? Or are there other better options?
The only commute he should think about is to groceries and back. No way any company end wfh this year, and probably even next one
Find a roommate in Mission Bay. Its clean, close to Dropbox and convenient.
As mentioned above, he really wants to live alone in a studio.
I lived at bayside village in a studio a while back in my 20s, it has tons of amenities and really no homeless, can hop on muni to get everywhere and right in the water
Thanks for the recommendation!

zeusliving.com theblueground.com All have furnished rentals well under $2400 because they’re desperate for business right now.
Oh interesting. I’ll take a look. Thanks
Mission Bay is nice with lots of relatively new apartments, just rent a 2 bed 2 bath with a roommate and split the rent. $4800 sounds reasonable for renting a 2 bed there.
He doesn’t want to live with roommates. Looking for a studio under $2,400
Stay away from SF for now. It’s mostly crazy homeless on the streets all over downtown.
Jesus, there were THAT many laid off Airbnb employees?
Uber too 😂

Will he be working in SF soon? When is Dropbox planning on ending WFH?
Yeah around August. Idk, but he wants to try living in SF regardless
