Which Microsoft team to choose?

Internal transfer from India to Redmond. I am confused between joining Azure ARM vs Windows in Redmond. Azure ARM : deployment and management service for Azure. I have worked in Windows 2.5 years and have no experience in cloud/distributed systems. Azure ARM manager has promised a clear path to Principal and L64 promo next year Mar if I make an impact. Am sceptic since am new will this be possible. Folks have told there are times when it's heavy on DRIs. In Windows team, I need 0 Ramp up and am comfortable, however promo could be slow . I want to interview for FAANGs later when I get H1. Which team can place me in a better situation for interviewing later for FAANGs? Points to consider : 1. Possible quick promo and distributed systems kno how and hands on in Azure ARM for System Design interview. Bad on calls? 2. Coasting in Windows and Leetcoding, slow promo? 3. New country.
