Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
TC - 200k 7 YOE Net worth - 80k (after paying back the b school loan) Household income - 350 k. No kids. Update - I intended to buy a Mazda CX-5 but was pretty disappointed with the underwhelming engine performance. I was looking at touring that fit my budget range (~25k-27k). Then I visited the Kia dealership only intending to test drive the new Kia Seltos - both my wife and I thought it was within our budget and fit our needs. However, the dealership was offering an 8k rebate on a Kia Sorento - I drove the 3.3 liter v6 290 hp car and felt like it matched the driving comfort and power of a bmw. Ended up buying this massive car for just under 27k. And 31 k including taxes license and registration. #cars #tesla #toyota #subaru #honda
350k -> after tax -> 230k -> 10% -> ~20k. So in a year spend about 1000 bucks a month including insurance just to be on the conservative side. So get something with 600-800 per month on a 5 year term to own @ 0.9% maybe -> so roughly something in the 55-65k msrp -> which afternoon discount should be 46-52K Soooo many options in that range -> head to car n driver to see the best car that caters to your taste and need.
Thanks!
But seriously list down your priorities before investing in a depreciating asset
Ferrari, appreciating asset
911 Targa or Carrera 4s
I hardly know your preference in cars but I would go for a 2 year old pre owned Lexus(luxury brand of Toyota), if you wish to hold on to that car. For fun, you can lease literally anything from Jeep, Dodge to Maserati without having the burden to take the hit of depreciation of these luxury brands and pretty much able to drive a brand new car and dump it 3 years later.
Who calls Jeep or Dodge luxury?
I guess a Tesla guy
I have about 300k saved and and looking at making $200k this year depending on our stock. I have a $9000 Honda and a couple other weekend cars. Some of my friends are in similar situations and have a Model S or a new Mercedes. It's all up to you, man. You're smart enough to determine what you want and what you are willing to pay. Getting two cheap cars, like a practical hatchback and a convertible, is quite fun and you don't feel too bad if something happens to either.
Ford Mustang.
No NIO. Coz its not chinese.
Model 3/Y if you love cars, else go for a Utility vehicle that’s cheaper.
If you love cars, you get a Porsche, not a Tesla 😂
Model 3/Y for great acceleration, climate control, EV mileage.
Bronco, if you like offroading. Mustang, if you like sports car. BMW X6, of you like awesome performance. Genesis, of you like luxury. Crv, if you like nothing and want to sell it again in 3 years.
Oddest choice of cars I've ever seen
Came from expert.
This one, LOL.
With that TC and no kids, buy something exciting like a BMW. Forget electrics, the range anxiety is real and charging is a hassle on road trips
Correct. In an EV a 17 hr trip becomes 24 hr.
24 hr pleasure? What you give jobs in tesla?
