What companies give out top offers without a competing offer. Getting a competing offer, greater than current offer in a limited timespan is difficult.
Jerry, just remember... It's not a lie if *you* believe it.
Iβm guessing Netflix
Just the fact that you have onsites coming up is enough material for negotiation.
True to some extent, but remember it can backfire also if the other onsites did not convert
I interviewed and got offers from multiple companies. Google low-balled me. Facebook gave a solid offer right away. Google beat the Facebook offer by 10% on the second attempt... I still went to Facebook.
Given the reputation of google being positive and Facebook reputation being negative , specially on blind , what reasons did you have for choosing Facebook ?
what's your yoe?
Facebook gave solid offer right away for me
Same here, I did not negotiate my FB offer. The initial offer they made was solid.
Was it worth it ?
In retrospect very happy with the call. FB is a lot more open to giving large responsibilities to young people if you can show you have what it takes, compared to anywhere else I've worked.
From the replies I can conclude Fb has good offers and maybe Netflix. Can someone from LinkedIn , snap , Twitter and Lyft confirm this? These are a few top paying companies but I'm not sure they are high from the start
Snap, yes.
I've heard Lyft is pretty solid too. The problem is they pay a lot in Lyft stock... Same problem as Snap!
Twitter does as well, we offer based on leveling and do not take into account competing offers
