For a Sr. Software Engineer with 7 years of backend experience.
Most companies worth over $1bn can afford it and do offer it if you can show your value and negotiate for it.
Not at Amazon Not at Uber (not unless u r director)
A sr2 at Uber can make over 200k.
Not LinkedIn or at least not me with over 7 years of experience.
You can get really close.
Staff can get more than 200k. Senior can’t.
In terms of base, Netflix is the only one I know. Most everyone who pays in the range uses RSUs or if in the finance world, cash bonuses for the difference.
And every other tech company minus Amazon (which is ecomm)
And AWS is non-tech too?
I don’t think anyone will pay u more than 200k base other than Netflix. But Netflix does not have RSUs.
We do have 5% in options on top though
Uber does.
High frequency trading
Pretty much anyone in finance.
What a joke !
FNG pays a base above 200k$ if your level is high enough
Netflix does for sure, plus you get options on top for free. Facebook can at E5, but that's less common. E6 and above would. Google's L6 definitely would, but that's hard to get.
Never seen E5 above 190k at FB. E6 definitely.
Yeah I was going some on blind info... So take that as you will
Most of the mid/late stage startups Lyft, Uber, Pinterest can pay that provided you come close to their staff level. Dropbox has IPOed now but I heard they pay pretty well too.
FANG or similar, most unicorns.
Base only? Not Amazon.
The A is for Apple.
