Which company to choose?

Asana or uber? I think they are both enforcing some hybrid model, SF and Seattle respectively Levels are 5/6 range and I don't have exact numbers yet As far as company outlook, culture, wlb, stock performance, etc. Which company would you choose? Current TC: 450k #uber #asana

Have you worked at either asana or uber?

Uber…

I would pick Asana. I have great things about their culture and their stock has come down and has better potential than Uber’s

Cool, thanks for the feedback

The polls are even.. can anyone from the companies chime in?

Uber polid Mar 21, 2022

Wlb here is good. Culture is not toxic as many claim but collaborative. Project move a little slow like most big companies. Not many people have faith in the leadership and as a result outlook isn’t positive, but they’re paying top of market even at current stock price so I don’t mind.

what are some of your favorite perks aside from the food?

Asana uOQa24 Mar 22, 2022

My favorite perk is the free coaching benefits. There are sessions via the Modern Health App (career coaching and therapy) and an additional set of sessions per year with a vetted list of external coaches who can help with everything from presentation skills to imposter syndrome. You could even use it to get coaching to leave Asana because it’s all confidential. I actually know someone who did this and is happier in their new company. This is one of the best perks I’ve ever received from an employer and it has helped me have a better relationship with my manager because I don’t have to rely on them to coach me through every single problem. It’s also helpful for other work relationships because I know that if someone is struggling, they have a confidential and highly skilled resource they can turn to.

I've worked at both and Asana is way better, although I'd expect Uber to beat Asana's TC. The engineering quality is much higher at Asana, the culture is way better (better wlb, nicer people, etc.), and you get to work on a product you use everyday. No brainer IMO
