Which networking events do I attend to meet potential co-founder?

Which networking events (in bay area) should I attend to increase the likelyhood of meeting a potential co-founder? #bayarea #entrepreneurship #events #startup #meetups I’m an engineer with about a decade of tech experience (software) and looking for a senior co-founder candidate who has sizeable managerial experience.

It's people in your circle whether at work or in your personal life. If you put yourself out there, like at an event, you have to qualify them and yourself. Just my take

True, your current network always helps and I’ve identified one of my possible co-founder with that approach. At present, I think three is the ideal number of founders who’ll contribute to a successful MVP launch. Two of which (myself included) will focus on engineering and building/testing the product in real conditions; while I think it’s important to have one senior guy who has good insights on general business operations, finance situations, legal and government policy stuff, and basically someone who could spot holes that could hurt our operations in future.

try angel list and use your network. Networking events kind of suck in general, the good, smart ppl are usually building or working hard and don't have time to attend as many networking events. Attend YC hackathon, you'll meet some awesome people there but mostly engineers. This is an interesting question because usually ppl need a tech co-founder. What you want is a Hustler (usually CEO, handles everything else the other 2 can't and is the fundraiser), Hipster (designer/PM/creative dude), and Hacker (coder). My situation is opposite yours, I have tons of business experience (led a 300+ ppl $90M business) and currently running my own start up now—fortunately I found a great tech co-founder and angel investors I've been working with for over a year now.
