I’ve few friends working for Deloitte, it’s toxic culture, not happy ( again it depends on the project), do your due diligence.

Meta redshrtguy May 4, 2022

Well that's consulting for you... But it's still a fairly good career accelerant if you use it right

Cummins apple 🍎)$$ OP May 4, 2022

I was referred by a friend, non toxic team and great wlb. Depends on team.

Meta redshrtguy May 4, 2022

Deloitte a couple years if you don't mind traveling then look elsewhere with consulting experience under your belt

Cummins apple 🍎)$$ OP May 4, 2022

It’s remote

Meta redshrtguy May 4, 2022

Remote doesn't necessarily mean no travel, I was remote my entire tenure at PwC, I still was in NYC most weeks in 2018-2019 😂 ( I live in the rural south) clarify the travel requirement then likely add 10-20% for the one off travel requirements (in my experience))

Deloitte TaxMann May 4, 2022

Deloitte is fully remote. Started fairly recently but I’d say it’s hit or miss on team/culture. Don’t listen to the haters. Most people don’t know shit and parrot what they hear on the internet. Unless you think that workday stock is going to blow up (or you’re certain you’ll be there for all 4 years), I’d go for Big D. TC will outscale instantly, will allow for better negotiations, and exposure to FAANG, as you mentioned. I work with FAANG too, so it’s no 🧢

Location? This sounds low

Cummins apple 🍎)$$ OP May 4, 2022

Bay Area

Deloitte TaxMann May 4, 2022

160 for senior consultant? That’s not low…

Verizon Beachbody May 4, 2022

Id say stay at your company and keep interviewing. Unless you really enjoy the team and position, it is not worth the switch in terms of numbers. But yes keep interviewing you need to improve your tc in the bay area.

Cummins apple 🍎)$$ OP May 4, 2022

Staying at current company is not an option.

Why not? If you don’t want to be not working for a bit id say accept the workday offer and push it out by a month or so and keep interviewing. Renege if needed.

Deloitte wfh is about to end from June. Client visits and travelling is expected, and the FAANG projects are good but the roles are short-lived as per the needs. And then project searching is a head ache here. You will need to keep your utilisation for the bonus and will have to take any role fitting your skills. Better to go with a product based company

UKG Supermanga May 7, 2022

Is it a Software Application Engineer or Software Development Engineer position?

Workday lolz May 7, 2022

What the heck. For tech you have to go to Workday. Deloitte is absolutely toxic
