Hi All, I have a Ford GSR 7 offer (Dearborn, Michigan) and United Airlines L4 offer (Chicago). United offer pays 15 % more than Ford and both are onsite. Which one of the two is better in terms of seniority, work-life balance and future move to BigTech perspective. Current Total TC: 0
Seniority- United WLB- Ford (as an ex-ford employee) Future move to BigTech- United
Go with United - also Chicago is an awesome city
I would think Ford would be better for a BigTech jump. United isn’t known for being a technology company. Ford isn’t either, but it’s higher on the list. Pay attention to Chicago expenses and see if the extra 15% is worth it. I don’t know if a Chicago network will help you get into Big Tech. The FAANG presence in Chicago is pretty small.
What do they ask you in technical interview for United ?
they gave me case on airline industry that I needed to prep in 24 hrs and present
United for the travel benefits, unless Ford offers a much higher amount of PTO
And F150 every year
