Which offer to take ?
Hi guys I've offers from bytedance (Singapore) and grab (India) confused on both which offer to go ahead with, can you help me on same !!? Ps: grab lowballed me and grab's offer is similar in terms with current compensation. Update:- For bytedance I'm expecting 120k SGD (Singapore) and Grab having 16 LPA Base + 1000 units stocks (India) TC : 20 LPA (base + joining) Yoe:2-3 #engineering #software #swe #offers

No point going to Grab for such a low bump in TC. Stick to Amazon or try sde2 elsewhere in India. No idea about bytedance

Why do you have such low TC after having 2-3 yoe. Doesn't Amazon pays good? Like new grads get a TC better than that I guess
13-16 is base and I've not included stocks and stuff though, but yeah stocks have vesting period and my stocks aren't vested so yeah.
what is 1 stock unit cost in grab? can you vest all the stocks in 1 year or their is time frame? is this role for backend profile?
Are you a SDE at Grab? I am currently contemplating offers from Amazon and Grab and not sure which ones should I go for.
Nope, I'm SDE at amazon got offer from grab. As per my knowledge TC @ amazon >> TC @ grab , but amazon culture is toxic and not good imo

Singapore is a nice place along and add low tax, that makes it even better I think. So of everything else is same, I'd prefer Singapore
Hey thanks but it's just solely based on compensation right. I heard wlb is bad and there is a big communication gap between Chinese people and which might be an issue or something. Any idea on that?
Yeah with bytedances chinese dominant reputation, it might be wise to step away from that
