Please let me know which firm is better to bring extra ordinary horizons to my career.
Obviously depends on the role you’re considering
Project Manager
I’m actually a Project Manager in GS. Depends where you sit in the organization. do you have a role in a specific division?
No role in the world can justify going to EY instead of GS. Unless one has dreamt about taxes and audit.
Not true - EY consulting is well respected
Thank you . Thats helpful . Nopes I am not in Audit or Tax.
GS easy - except you are bent on audit/tax.
Thanks . Thats very helpful.
😂 no. GS tech is never the answer. EY consulting is a great brand to have on your resume.
TC: GS Gain New skills: EY Networking: EY Career growth & build experience:EY Emerging Technologies: EY
TC GS? Lmao no way.
GS is shiit in front of FAANG, but it is a gold in front of EY
Depends on the role man, not everyone is an engineer.
People have left in droves recently do to burnout. I'm leaving in 2 weeks as well.
Me tooooo. I gave notice last week and still working my tail off. I haven’t told anyone other than my partner and Talent person that I’m leaving yet, so other partners continue to pile on work. I really like my partner so trying to transition everything as much as possible but I’m at the end of my rope lol
It's bonkers. I laugh because the partners really thought the "bonus" they touted was going to keep people around.
Imagine working the same amount of hours at EY, but making a fraction of what you’d be making at GS. FAANG option is better for both TC and WLB.
Have you left yet?
Nopes
hard choice but EY is a culturally good place with lower benefits compared to GS

Depends on what you want out of your career at this stage. GS if you want the $$$ for sure. EY is a good place to build a network and find mentors. It’s a feel-good firm but at the end of the day functions like a business. There are partners who will fight for doing the right thing for people but often get overruled by the firm. At least at GS they pay you well enough that they don’t need to sugar coat things.
Thank you. That is really helpful 🙂
