I’m expecting offers from JPMorgan Chase and ServiceNow for SWE positions, wondering which to take JPMorgan is associate SWE 3 (which recruiter told me was equivalent to senior SWE in industry?) I think total comp here will be around 150k in LCOL/MCOL area Location is shit and I’d have to relocate. ServiceNow, I don’t need to relocate and position will be mid level swe. I’m expecting comp to be around 150k in MCOL/HCOL area The things I care about the most are 1.) value add to resume (currently have a no name startup on there) 2.) quality of work 3.) WLB Is there any difference in status between the two? I’m currently leaning towards ServiceNow because I don’t need to move, but I’d appreciate any advice on what to take, thanks! JP for wlb and u will save a lot in that area
SN serves a broader business user base. Chase is only fintech.
Lol is Chase sending you to Plano or Cbus?
SWE 3 = 602 = senior associate
What is the equivalent in industry, mid level or senior?
It’s equivalent to L4 in faang
Do not forget - Servicenow will have refreshers almost every year, so your comp will be much higher after 3years.
Application or platform org?
I think JP Morgan for wlb and SNOW for quality of work
