Any recommendation of which refrigerator is better: Bosch 500 or GE Profile? Longevity is the most important decision making criterion. If you have any comments about these 2 models specifically, please let me know. TC: $250K
I’ve heard good things about Bosch, particularly with regards to longevity and quality
Bosch 800 because the middle drawer is the bees knees And because it's one of the few (maybe only) in this category that has dual compressor Downside or upside depending on you...no external ice maker (in freezer) and water is inside so you have to open the fridge. But the ice maker can make a shit ton of ice lol. This might apply to the 500 as well
Godrej or Videocon
I would only put the same brand of appliances in my kitchen. If you have GE already, then GE.
Do not get a fridge with ice/water in the front door if longevity is your concern. Also GE is going to be easier and less expensive to service than Bosch.
All French door fridges come with ice and water these days. I just disconnect mine after a leak 15 years ago. The rest of my GE profile is still working after 30 years.
bosch all the day
The fridges are put together in China, I dislike mine, feels low quality.
Im not a big fan of my Bosch fridge, try Sub Zero.
I have a GE Profile model PWE23KMKES purchased new in December 2021. It’s served me well but the compressor just died two days ago. Apparently the issue isn’t isolated to GE, but rather the compressors themselves. It’s a r600a compressor from a (supposedly) bad batch from 2021/2022 that’s plaguing all the manufacturers not just GE. If I had to pick again, I would pick Bosch.
I lost a fridgeair to bad compressor and the part was on indefinite backorder lol....for months before mine even broke. But funny part is the compressor itself or something was fine...it was a stupid small/cheap part that did it in....because it was bundled with a a few other parts as a package and was key component to make the compressor run.
Ask your family or spouse.
the one that brings food to you and puts it in your mouth 😀
