Which way to go? (visa issues + career choice)

Hi Blind - need some suggestions on where to proceed since my OPT is expiring (last H1b lottery next year, 2 YoE as SDE now). My options are... 1. Do a MS in CS. I’m preparing for my GRE and will apply for Fall 2021. Graduated from a decent undergrad program so this hopefully isn’t too hard. My concerns are whether I can get a visa (consulates are still closed), and travel ban. 2. Internal transfer to Amsterdam/Toronto from May 2021. However, judging by how Uber is doing now, there might not be any openings. 3. Find a new job in Europe (Amsterdam, London, Dublin etc). The main concern is willingness to hire expats, also entry requirements due to COVID. How is how the job market there currently? Which one do you think is the preferred option? Would appreciate any advice. TIA.

Is OPT per degree? If yes, find a 1 year MS program and then continue working after that with a fresh OPT and STEM till you get H1B.

If TC is your top priority go for the US. However, be careful - a lot of universities’ classes will be virtual. You might not get a visa that way. I heard Amsterdam is a beautiful place. I’ll come there myself to do a MS degree. Uber is the top employer there, if you want to job switch you might not be able to do it. Netherlands also has 30% ruling so you might get more net salary in Amsterdam than in FB London or any other tech company. Good luck and let us know what you decided

Doing an MS just to stay in the country is a waste of time . Internal transfer to Europe.
