Was surprised to see that several companies making the "top paying tech companies" lists that haven't IPO'd, like Lyft and airbnb. So who else pays those kind of salaries in SF? Also if they're pre IPO, how does stock comp work? I treat options I can't sell as basically worthless.
Dropbox pays pretty well too. They came pretty close to my FB offer.
Unity and pinterest also pay well. Stitchfix pays well for data science / ml but not for sweng
+1 for Pinterest, was offered 250 TC with 1.5 YOE CS BS
Fintechs pay pretty well.
Airbnb pays well. Asana and Dropbox pay fairly well also.
Asana pays really low...
Snap. LinkedIn also pays decently.
Adobe
Facebook Amazon google have sf offices. Salesforce, linkedin, Twitter, Square also pretty good for post-ipo companies
How do you get a job in those offices? Recruiters always want to place me in the Peninsula
Just have to ask, but it may depend on your area and experience since the peninsula offices are bigger
