Has anyone noticed businesses wanting to invest more resources into 3D printing applications? Boeing or Lockheed are obvious ones but I'm curious what others may have heard.
Bro! All the prototyping is 3D printed mostly! I've heard SpaceX even has metal 3D printers
Boeing is implementing 3D printing into the composite tooling for manufacturing. It has grown beyond R&D for the big boys. I'm just curious to see if the smaller fish are pivoting.
Many aerospace companies, including SpaceX, utilized metal 3D printing for various parts. Engine parts use it extensively as it seems to be more reliable than casting due to air bubbles being trapped in the casting process.
i like my 3D printed ar-15.
Is the design still online?? lol
Just need to print the lower. Any other parts can be bought online.
On that note, why are 3D printing companies’ stocks going down??
3D printing is very common in the prototype phase when you are validating the design. Specialized, NASA, Reebok , UA ....list goes on
