From what I heard, the old dudes in Congress kept trying to make analogies about buying cars and things that don't apply very well to technology and data privacy. I think this should be a wake up call to users that there is a reason these products are "free" but I hope they don't stifle the industry with regulation.

Also, that Congress needs to get educated on how modern day tech works.

You think Congress actually understands tech, or they are trying to pretend to understand? Dude Zuck is a self-made billionaire.

Asking tech workers how Zuck looked today is like asking a machinist how your code style looks. He looked very bad to the average person....

It was such a long interview though. The media will be able to cherry pick what they want out of it to fit their narrative and shape public perception.

They already are, but the more influential people will be the meme’ers. So far everything I’ve seen is bad PR.

Food for thought Facebook employees' donations to Donald J Trump For President Inc (C00580100): $4759 from 23 employees Facebook employees' donations to Hillary For America (C00575795): $319379 from 995 employees Note the data only includes contributions from individuals totaling over $200 https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/8bd0tg/mark_zuckerberg_says_he_doesnt_know_the_political/
