With Splunk stock in a decline, who do you think is big enough to buy Splunk and why? They still have a market cap of 19+billion (stock is down about 50% in 1 year).
Splunk board won't sell for 20 billion that's for sure. So need at least 30 billion.
I won't be surprised if cisco buys. It all comes down to splk stock price. Cisco needs the software to sell more of their shitty boxes .
There are cheaper and better products out in market now.. not sure if anyone will pay top dollar for splk
Which ones are better ?
Google it
Why not microsoft?
My guess is that a SPAC run by Cisco might yield the acquisition of Splunk and other companies.
All of them could buy Splunk, but will they?
Too expensive to be worth it for any company where Splunk would make sense as an acquisition (Oracle). Amazon would never touch Splunk, they'd just try to make their own version on the cheap. Google tried just that and failed miserably. I can't see Splunk getting acquired unless tragedy strikes and we can be bought for a song.
